A reminder to Band students and parents that Scentsy orders and money are due to me by this Friday November 29.

We have had a good week in all of my classes. The grade 7/8's had their first playing test yesterday which went very well. The grade 5/6's have started playing some notes together as a group and the K-4's have been working on procedures in the room and their singing voice. Just a quick reminder that the Beginning Band Workshop is this Friday and Saturday with the students needing to be there at 6:45pm on Friday and 8:45am on Saturday.

On Wednesday we had a great Jazz Band rehearsal with four students coming out. Some more students have expressed interest and I am really looking forward to our next rehearsal. Yesterday we had some good rehearsals in Band with the Gr. 5/6's learning their first notes (Review for Grade 6 of course) and the Grade 7/8's worked on some review and listening for balance, blend, and intonation. A quick reminder that if you have not returned forms or money that I have handed out, everything is now past due. Gr 5's make sure to get your Beginning Band Workshop form signed and brought in for Monday. Band students/parents, if you have not paid your $10 book fee please do that by Monday. Gr. 5/6 if you have not got your Artsonia form in please do that ASAP We made some nice music today at school and I am really excited to hear what we sound like in a couple of months time. A great day at Benito School! We had some new students join our family today as it was the first day for our Junior Kindergarten. In my classes today it was all about French. The Grade 5/6's learned about some summer and winter activities, the Grade 7/8's learned about the incognito, masques, and maquillages, and the Grade 4's learned how to start a conversation in French. A reminder to parents that if you haven't paid your $10 band book fee to get that in as soon as possible.
